For my midterm I decided to model a wine glass table with an animation of the table clothes slowly attaching itself to the table. The majority of my modeling were done in CV Curve tools and revolving around the Y-Axis. I spent a lot of time in the hyper shade menu. I wanted the wine glass to reflect on the wine bottle. Also I wanted the lighting to be behind the two model. I struggle a lot with getting the lightning right.
I decided to use the spot light and placing it everywhere around the plane and test in the rendering view. I then use point light and move the light up and at a slanted angle.
The above are the curves I made and the first one is the wine bottle and the second one is the wine glass. I looked at the picture I found on Google and refer to it when it was necessary. Below are the references I referred to.
When I was looking through video on how to make table cloth I stumbled upon the video below and it was rather easy to animate the table cloth. However I did not know that I needed two polygon surfaces. My table top was not a polygon but rather a CV curve that has been revolved. I did a bit of troubleshooting and I replaced with a polygon cylinder and it made the tutorial a lot easier.
Below is a part of the animation I attempted to make, I wasn't sure where my camera went and I spent a long time looking for it, so I just rendered in perspective view, however it didn't not render above the scene.
